Manna was first elected as the public school trustee in 2014. Since then, she has worked hard as a
collaborative leader in making our Scarborough schools more accessible, more attentive to students
with diverse learning needs, and less challenging for parents and community members to navigate.
Manna has also worked closely with her colleagues to put the Toronto District School Board on its best
footing with respect to transparency, accountability and good governance.

As an immigrant parent of 4 boys who has called Scarborough-Agincourt home for the past 29 years,
Manna understands first-hand the struggles every immigrant, every parent face in providing a safe,
nurturing and positive learning environment for our children.
